Shadow Drawings
The
multilayered surface of the polaroid film is used
to
imprint images and
preserve memories.
Exposing the blank film directly to light and gesturally manipulating the photographic surface, a chemical disruption is triggered. The long exposure to light, unlocks the elements of the film and reveals the architecture of the polaroid film.

This process
resembles the way memories
are built on earlier memories and creates a
form of palimpsest that explores the fluidity
of the photographic process ;
its unpredictable and anisotrοpic properties.
It challenges the way the film is meant to function while it accents on its abstract materiality.
